Prior to the legislation, HB 434, property taken through condemnation could not be converted to private use for 20 years. 

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution explained: “Th[e] two-decade pause is there to stop governments from seizing a property for a ‘public use,’ like widening a road, and then immediately selling to a developer for something else. HB 434 would allow a government to immediately transfer your property to a developer, which is exactly what voters in 2006 said they didn’t want. Powerful lobbying interests…support the bill, just like they opposed tougher eminent domain rules in 2006.”

Ossoff’s voting record reveals that when Democrats had control of the federal government, he largely voted to enable Joe Biden’s liberal agenda.

Specifically Ossoff supported:

• The American Rescue Plan ($1.9T COVID bill) – blamed by conservatives for fueling inflation.

• Inflation Reduction Act — criticized as Green New Deal–style spending by Republicans.

Ossoff also initially opposed the Laken Riley Act, which would hold criminal illegal aliens accountable, before flip-flopping and supporting the bill after it became clear that it would pass overwhelmingly.

Yes. Brad Raffensperger’s opposition to President Donald Trump dates back years, even prior to ballot counting in 2020.

He refused to serve as an honorary co-chair of the Trump campaign in Georgia and refused to endorse Trump for reelection.

According to ProPublica: “Long before Republican senators began publicly denouncing how Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger handled the voting there, he withstood pressure from the campaign of Donald Trump to endorse the president for reelection. Raffensperger, a Republican, declined an offer in January to serve as an honorary co-chair of the Trump campaign in Georgia.. He later rejected GOP requests to support Trump publicly, he and his staff said in interviews.”

In 2020, Brad Raffensperger basically handed over control of Georgia’s elections to Stacey Abrams when he agreed to a consent decree that, among other changes, made it much harder for election workers who suspected fraud to disqualify absentee ballots.[1]

Raffensperger also took the unprecedented step of sending absentee ballot request forms to every registered voter in Georgia, regardless of whether or not they had requested one.[2]

Raffensperger refused to support President Trump’s calls for a recount of Georgia’s ballots, instead siding with the Democratic Party of Georgia and opposing the recount.[3]

Raffensperger’s handling of the 2020 election was so poor that Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue called for him to resign his office.[4]

Jackson was a driving force behind Georgia’s Fostering Success Act, legislation designed to expand access to higher education for young adults who age out of the foster care system.[1] The law allows eligible former foster youth to attend Georgia’s public colleges and universities tuition-free, removing one of the largest barriers facing students who lack family financial support.[2]

Since the law’s passage, more than 500 former foster youth have enrolled in postsecondary education under the program.[3]

He is also a driving force behind FaithBridge Foster Care and helped expand it from a small initiative into one of Georgia’s largest private, Christ-centered child-placing agencies.[4]

According to its website: FaithBridge Foster Care is a nonprofit foster care and adoption agency based in Georgia that works with local churches to recruit, train, license, and support foster and adoptive families — especially for children who’ve experienced abuse, neglect, or trauma. It also offers programs for youth aging out of the foster care system and online training through FaithBridgeU, all centered on a Christian, community-based model of care.[5]

No, but Jackson Healthcare did step up for the state of Georgia during COVID and help save thousands of lives.

No other staffing company in Georgia had the ability to recruit the number of nurses and physicians that were needed during COVID. Jackson Healthcare could have focused on sending health care providers to New York and made twice as much money, but Rick Jackson told his staff that their clinical providers would go to Georgia before anywhere else. They also had a system that allowed any company nationally to bid on all the positions for the state. This process created the most cost-effective price for Georgia in the United States and saved lives in Georgia.

Additionally, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that if Rick Jackson is elected “Jackson Healthcare will not bid on any new contracts with the state of Georgia and will ‘work to responsibly unwind any existing contracts’.”
